If you’re a gear whore and need the latest, greatest equipment, here’s Surfline’s surfboard buyer’s guide. Unless you’re Kelly Slater and can notice nominal differences in dimensions and shape, buying the latest 2012 model probably isn’t going to help your surfing that much if you already own the latest 2011 model. But hey, if you got $700 to burn, who am I to judge?
